The big fall film festivals serve as a precursor to award season culminating with the Oscars in February. As in years past, Technicolor is honored to have worked on many of the features premiering and screening throughout the festival circuit – showcasing a diversity of filmmakers and their stories.
NEW YORK FILM FESTIVAL: September 28 through October 15, 2018
The New York Film Festival is presented annually by the Film Society of Lincoln Center to support and elevate the art and craft of cinema. Technicolor worked on five high-profile projects making the rounds through the fall festivals and building momentum towards award season.
TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL: September 6 through September 16, 2018
The Toronto International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in the world; open to the general public, it draws nearly 500,000 attendees over its 10-day schedule. Technicolor teams worked on 14 diverse features screening at the festival this year, half of them directed by women.
TELLURIDE FILM FESTIVAL: August 31 through September 4, 2018
Every Labor Day weekend, film lovers descend on the tiny mountain village of Telluride, Colorado for the Telluride Film Festival, which showcases many of the most buzzed about projects before they hit Toronto and New York. Along with ROMA, Technicolor worked on Orson Welles posthumous last feature as well as Robert Redford’s purported last acting gig.
VENICE Film Festival: August 29 through September 9, 2018
The Venice International Film Festival is the oldest and one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world, with a mission to raise awareness and promote all forms of international cinema. Technicolor teams worked on four projects at this year’s festival, including highly-anticipated features from Alfonso Cuarón and the Coen brothers.
